Mountsorrel Area
Mountsorrel is an old village that has a brief mention in The Domesday Book. Originally on the old coaching route from London to Carlisle which became the A6, a bypass now takes heavy traffic around the village rather than through it.
The older part of the village runs along the old road, and it also touches on the River Soar. There are local shops, pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance of our guesthouse. The new Soar Valley Leisure Centre is also within walking distance.
Mountsorrel Village is ideally located with easy access to rural walks and fishing and yet close to Leicester and with a road infrastructure that allows easy travel around the area. Some local attractions and activities are detailed below:
